የጥናትና ፕሮጀክት ትግበራ ዳይሬክቶሬት የከተማችንን አጠቃላይ የተቀናጀ የደረቅ ቆሻሻ አስተዳደር ስርዓት በቅርበት በማገናዘብና በመገምገም ፕሮጀክቶችን በመቅረጽና በመተግበር እንዲሁም የፋሲሊቲዎችን ግንባታ ክትትል እና ግምገማ ስራዎችን በመስራት፣ በደረቅ ቆሻሻ አያያዝና አወጋገድ ላይ የተለያዩ ጥናቶች በማጥናት የተገኙ ግኘቶችን ተግባራዊ እንዲደረጉ ያደርጋል፡፡ አዳዲስ ቴክኖሎጂዎችን በመኮረጅና በማላመድ ወደ ተቋሙ ተጨባጭ ሁኔታ በመቀየር ከተማችን በዘላቂነት ጽዱ እንድትሆን የሚሰራ ዳይሬክቶሬት ነው፡፡
The Directorate of Research and Project Implementation closely considers and evaluates the entire integrated solid waste management system of our city by designing and implementing projects as well as monitoring and evaluating the construction of facilities/plants. Moreover, the directorate works to make our city clean in a sustainable way by applying the findings obtained by studying various studies on solid waste management and disposal and by imitating and practicing new technologies into the reality of the agency.
