Landfill Directorate receives the municipal solid waste transported from Addis Ababa city and provides disposal services with considering of Environmental, Social and Economic impacts. The directorate disposes of solid waste authorized by the agency for special disposal in accordance with the guidelines. It supplies solid waste to reppiee waste to energy power plant and carefully removes the fly ash and bottom ash from the power plant. It organizes and analyzes solid waste data of Addis Ababa city and provides training, research and consulting services
